Company History
Herkes Electrical Supplies was established in 1954 by
William Herkes, in Surry Hills, Sydney and in 1980 was
acquired by its present owner, Garth Tanswell. From a
humble beginning of three employees and dependant on two
major customers, the company steadily grew and relocated
to larger premises in Waterloo. Our core business is the
supply of electrical and associated products to
electrical contractors and allied industries. |

presently stock in excess of 10 000 items for the
convenience our account holders and regular customers. As
a founder member of Gemcell, we are able to offer ongoing
competitive pricing across a wide range of product with
the benefit of personal service and advice. |
